Is Kylie Jenner pregnant or not: an investigation

It's been a fruitful summer, kids: Kylie Jenner is pregnant with her second child, at least according to Page Six, with on-again, off-again partner and rapper Travis Scott. The two are already parents to Stormi, 3.

The news is not entirely shocking, as earlier this Friday, while visiting The Toy Story and followed by paparazzi, Caitlyn Jenner – loose-lipped as ever – let it slip that one of her grandchildren is expecting. She was joking about having 18 grandchildren and wanting 30, and then said she had recently discovered that her 19th is "in the oven."

As TMZ quickly discovered, Caitlyn might have been referring to son Burt and his wife Valerie, who are expecting their third child. But now, it's hard to say. After all, how can one keep track with nine children?

Now, Jenner hasn't been secretive about wanting more children. In an interview with Harper's Bazaar in March 2020, she said, “My friends all pressure me about it. … They love Stormi. I definitely feel pressure to give her a sibling, but there’s no plan.”

And in an Instagram Live around that time, she also said, “I want seven kids down the line, but not right now." And then added, for posterity, "Pregnancy is just not a joke; it’s a serious thing and it’s hard. I’m not ready for that just yet."

Turns out, she may have been, though Jenner has also yet to make an official statement about the news. Which isn't too unusual, as when she was pregnant with Stormi, she only announced the news after she'd given birth, though rumours certainly swirled.

At the Keeping Up With The Kardashians reunion taping earlier this year, Jenner explained, “I shared so much of my life. I was also really young when I got pregnant, and it was just a lot for me personally. I didn’t know how I would bring that to the public too and have everyone’s opinion. I think it was just something that I needed to go through by myself.”

Still, it was difficult to evade the media. She added, “I stayed in my house and around my neighbourhood. Then, toward the end, there would be helicopters every day — I couldn’t even go outside because they’d be shooting all my deliveries.”

But wait. The plot thickens... 

Considering all that, Jenner might be wary of some of her eagle-eyed fans, who have been on baby watch for some time, noting everything from her recent social media posts where she's wearing supposedly baggier clothing, to a recent sushi order she shared, which had no raw fish.

Perhaps in hopes of throwing off the scent, Jenner posted a selfie on Friday afternoon – just as the Page Six report came out – of her walking by a mirror, bare, flat stomach and all. The question is: is she not pregnant, or doing what she managed to pull off during baby No. 1?

TikTok user @carolinecaresalot has been on the case, posting a thorough video exploring why she's confident Jenner does indeed have a bun in the oven, and is only trying to fool her followers. Her clues include everything from Jenner posting photos that show a different manicure from the ones she has on the same day in her sisters' photos to the timing of her rekindled relationship with Scott.

Here's her most salient point: Jenner has not been photographed out and about for some time.
