Katy Perry snaps back at Luke Bryan after he tells her to shave her leg hair

Working moms don't have time for everything and, besides, what's so bad about a little hair?

Here's the thing: it's a lot of work being Katy Perry, but it's also a lot of work being any kind of working mom. That means not having the time to cover all your bases, like, say, shaving your legs.

Still, that seemed to leave Perry's fellow American Idol judge Luke Bryan in a huff. How do we know this? On Sunday, in honour of Mother's Day, Perry posted an Instagram Story of a conversation the two had.

In it, Bryan said, not so hilariously, “I know you’re a mom and everything, but we gotta do something about this leg hair."

From there, Perry panned down to the table, where she had a leg propped up to show off some barely-there light fuzz.

“No, I don’t got time!” responded Perry. “I’d rather cuddle with my daughter!”

Bryan then started to argue his point, beginning, "It is literally..." But Perry swiftly cut him off, yelling, "Yeah!"

That's not the first time Perry has addressed the hair on her legs on American Idol. While critiquing contestant Cassandra Coleman on an episode in early April, Perry said, "As a new mother, I don't have very much time, so I have quit shaving my legs. But when you sang, the hair on my legs grew an inch and a half. So, full-body chills."

After then propping up her leg to show said chills, Bryan, yet again aghast at the fact that women do indeed grow hair on their very normal bodies, exclaimed wildly, "She literally has leg hair!" Imagine!

Host Ryan Seacrest then quipped, "Thank you for the forensic report."

Indeed.

As for Perry, she became a mom last August, to daughter Daisy Dove Bloom with fiancé Orlando Bloom.

On Sunday, she also tweeted, "i found everything i was ever searching for when i became a mother. so grateful for that profound, deep love and honored to join the mama club. happiest Mother’s Day."

Bloom honoured Perry in his own quirky Instagram post, which featured him on a fishing trip having "caught" a photoshopped Perry dressed as a mermaid.

"Got myself a real catch," Bloom joked in the caption. "Sending love and respect to all the amazing people who have shaped our lives, supported us and loved us unconditionally. Happy Mother’s Day."

A match made in heaven.
