If you’ve ever fanaticized about those Omaze contests to win a trip to George and Amal Clooney's Lake Como, Italy villa to hang out with the coolest couple in Hollywood, now is your opportunity, but after watching the hilarious fundraising video for the contest, you might want to be careful what you wish for.

Teasing the possibility of forging a lifelong friendship with the Midnight Sky star, George reveals that he actually just made a new best friend in the pandemic when he shacked up with a guy named Byron whom he met on Craigslist. George had the time of his life. Byron . . . not so much.

“One of my favourite things about meeting new people is that you never know when a lifelong friendship is going to blossom,” George mused. “In fact, by total dumb luck, I actually spent most of last year rooming with some random guy and we’re basically best friends now.”

“Do I recommend hanging out with George Clooney?” Byron the roommate asks. “No, I do not."

Explaining the situation, Byron says George swung by his house to pick up a Batman action figure he was selling him through Craigslist when the stay-at-home order hit. So George never left (though somehow, his Brad Pitt memorabilia also showed up).

The wacky video quickly turns comical when we see George poking fun at his own Batman action figure (“I mean, it's not the one with the nipples, but still. Not bad.”), insisting he and Bryon watching Ocean’s 11 every night, and revealing his rather unhealthy obsession with his Ocean’s co-star Brad Pitt.

“Can you believe Amal wanted me to throw this away?” George asks, clutching a vanity pillow with Brad’s face on it. Byron looks concerned AF as he stands in George’s room covered with posters and memorabilia of the Legends of the Fall hunk. “Not throwing this out, no way, man. Thank you for giving me a place. Me and Brad.”

Soon life-size mock-ups of Brad’s iconic face start popping up all over Byron’s house. Imagine telling on yourself like this.

We had no idea George was just like us when we were 14, but on top of the mock-ups and pillows, he hogs the bathroom for hours (using the excuse of “hair and makeup”), he photobombs Byron’s Zoom meeting’s with his boss, and he forces them to dissect Brad’s incessant eating in Ocean’s 11.

By entering the drawing and donating, you and a friend could be jetting off on an all-expenses-paid extravaganza to Italy, with your hotels and flights covered for the trip. The fundraiser supports the Clooney Foundation for Justice, which advocates for justice for human rights abuses around the world.

Just don’t overstay your welcome.
