A$AP Rocky calls girlfriend Rihanna ‘the one’ and ‘love of his life’

A$AP Rocky has finally verbally confirmed that he is dating our Fenty Beauty goddess Rihanna and he's not holding back his feelings because, in a new interview, he refers to her as "the one."

The 32-year-old rapper told GQ all about their romance for the magazine’s June/July 2021 cover story.

Rocky didn’t share exactly when they started dating, but he did refer to Rih as “the love of my life” and spoke about “my lady.” Rumours of the romance date all the way back to when Rockey opened for Rihanna’s Diamonds World Tour in 2013.

He opened up about how it feels dating Rihanna. “So much better,” Rocky said. “So much better when you got the One. She amounts to probably, like, a million of the other ones. I think when you know, you know. She’s the One.” Alexa, please play "You Da One" by Rihanna.

We’ve all been speculating about Rocky and Rihanna since Christmas time last year when they were photographed in Barbados together. It was a trip home for Rihanna and Rocky’s father emigrated from Barbados to the U.S. so the “Purple Swag” rapper says he felt right at home when he returned with Rih.

“It was like a homecoming thing,” he told GQ. “It was crazy. I always imagined what it would be like for my dad, before he came to America. And I got to visit those places, and believe it or not, there was something nostalgic about it. It was foreign but familiar.”

Rocky also shared his thoughts on starting a family. “If that’s in my destiny, absolutely,” he said about fatherhood. 

The “1 Train” rapper laughed and added, “I think I’m already a dad! All these mother--kers are already my sons—whatchu talkin’ ’bout!” 

But then Rocky got serious again and said, “Nah, but like, I think I’d be an incredible, remarkably, overall amazing dad. I would have a very fly child. Very.” A Rocky and Rihanna child? Very fly indeed.

Rocky said that he and Rihanna went on a cross-country road trip together in a tour bus during quarantine. Oh, to live the life of a celebrity!

The couple drove from Los Angeles to New York City and made a stop in Memphis. 

The rapper said they listened to the Stones, the Grateful Dead and Curtis Mayfield while they stopped in a few national parks on their road trip. Rocky also admitted that he dropped acid and made some clothes on the bus.

“Being able to drive and do a tour without feeling like it was an occupation or an obligated job agreement, I feel like that experience is like none other,” Rocky recalled of his road trip. “I never experienced nothing like it.”

A$AP Rocky fans it’s time to get hype because the rapper recorded new music along the way! He’s been working in recording studios, which he considers to be too big and boring. 

When he was on road with Rihanna, he had a mobile setup so he could make music whenever the inspiration hit. “Work with what you got,” Rocky said of his DIY studio. “God blessed me with a lot, so I’m working with that, and that’s enough to make some f--kin’ fire.”

Rocky said that Bad Gal Riri has heard his new music and helps inspire him. “I think it’s important to have somebody that you can bounce those creative juices and ideas off of.”

Rihanna has “absolutely” influenced Rocky’s new music. “It’s just a different point of view.”

He even hinted that their relationship has defined the new vibe of his material, which he calls a “ghetto love tale” and said that it’s “way more mature” than his previous work.

Rocky, who has previously been romantically linked to Kendall Jenner, Iggy Azalea, Teyana Taylor and Chanel Iman, was featured in Rihanna's Fenty Skin campaign last July. The couple did several interviews together to promote the collab, following Rihanna's split with billionaire boyfriend Hassan Jameel in January 2020.

Though we've all speculated that Rocky and Rih were a couple, they've never confirmed their romance until now.

According to Us Weekly, A$AP had been "very into Rihanna for years," a source said in December. Rihanna "would brush off his advances and kept him in the friend zone" but "things changed over the summer and they finally hooked up. They've been together ever since."
