Happy birthday Prince Louis! The youngest son of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, William and Kate, is celebrating his toddler milestone, and Kate snapped this incredibly adorable photo of her wee little royal on a red bike, getting ready for his first day at nursery.

Captioning the pic that was posted on Thursday, “Three tomorrow!” we see a smiling little Louis wearing Velcro sneakers and a blue school uniform riding a bike the same colour as his rosy cheeks.

With this photograph, we get a sense of the mischievous and playful side of the little Prince, something that Will and Kate described recently in an interview with the BBC.

“Louis really likes the red button,” William said, referencing the feature on British remote controls, and the couple added that making video-calls with family can be a bit difficult with the curious toddler around.

"It gets a bit hectic, I'm not going to lie,” Kate said. “With a two-year-old you have to take the phone away. It's quite hectic for them all to say the right thing at the right time without pressing the wrong buttons. But it's great and it's nice to keep in touch with everybody."

In speaking with US Weekly, a source gave a glimpse into Louis’ personality.

“Family means everything to the mom of three, and one of her biggest worries about the future is not being there for George, Charlotte, and Louis. George is well-behaved. All the kids are, but Charlotte and Louis both have a cheeky streak. Louis is more like Charlotte in personality than George!”

The Royal family is celebrating a lot of birthdays this week, as Louis’s great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, celebrated her 95th birthday earlier this week, mere days after her husband, the Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Philip, died at the age of 99.

“I have, on the occasion of my 95th birthday today, received many messages of good wishes, which I very much appreciate,” the Queen said in a statement posted to the Royal Family’s official Instagram.

“While as a family we are in a period of great sadness, it has been a comfort to us all to see and to hear the tributes paid to my husband, from those within the United Kingdom, the Commonwealth and around the world,” her statement continued.

The funeral was attended by many members of the Royal Family, including Prince Harry who flew in from California to attend. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s son Archie, who is Prince Louis’ first cousin, does not have the same royal title, something which Meghan questioned during her bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey in March.
