If you thought Nick Cannon had his hands full before, what with hosting The Masked Singer (watch on CTV Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT), his radio gigs, and being a father of four, it sounds like his life is about to get twice as hectic. That’s because Cannon and his girlfriend Abby De La Rosa announced over the weekend that they’re expecting twins together.

For those keeping track, this isn’t Cannon’s first turn with doubles. He and his ex-wife Mariah Carey already co-parent nine-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe. Plus Cannon shares three-year-old son Golden with his ex, Brittany Bell, and in December 2020, they also welcomed a baby girl. That means these babes with be the fifth and sixth children for the personality.

De La Rosa shared the news that Cannon is the father on her Instagram page over the weekend. The DJ previously revealed last December that she is expecting, but she’s been mum about the dad of it all until now. On April 11 she posted two different shots of herself with Cannon, as well as a sweet maternity video set to “Collide” by Tiana Major9 and EarthGang. In it, her bump is on full display as she and Cannon stare lovingly into each other’s eyes while walking through a forest.

“Our dearest sons - my miracle babies, thank you for choosing me to be your Mommy,” she captioned all three of the posts. “I know the Lord has destined me and prepared me for the gift of not one but two little angels. I pray that God give you both the strength to walk brave and boldly in your individual truth just like your Daddy,” she continued.

“That God bless you and your brother and guide you into living out your full purpose. Your Dad & I will always be here for you both; in complete unison and support. No matter what this world may throw your way, know that forgiveness is key and what is for you - is for YOU! You both are already so loved and we can’t wait to meet you both.”

Last month De La Rosa hinted at Cannon’s identity when she did a set for Club Tummy (a virtual jam for pregnant women), in front of a logo for Cannon’s N’Credible Entertainment. So far Cannon hasn’t shared the posts on his own Instagram page, although to date he’s only blessed his 4.9 million followers with a grand total of four posts—and none of them are family-related.

It’s been quite an eventful few months for Cannon so far. Earlier this year he tested positive for COVID-19, so when The Masked Singer debuted season 5 at the beginning of March, guest-host Niecy Nash stepped in for him. Cannon only returned last week in a top-secret episode, in which he appeared as the Bulldog before unmasking himself in a surprise twist.

According to one of De La Rosa’s earlier posts, the babies are due in July, which means the current season of the celebrity singing game will be complete by the time Cannon’s latest bundles of joy arrive. And when they do, it sounds as though Cannon is all about the blended family upbringing.

“It’s kinda the norm. It’s all rooted in love, it’s all rooted in positive energy,” Cannon previously told People, opening up about co-parenting with exes. “There’s no hard feelings and ill will. Ultimately, it’s about putting the kids first and making sure they have the best childhood they could possibly have.”

Congrats to the couple and their growing family.
