Surprise! Just one day after presenting the award for Best Foreign Language Picture at the 2021 Golden Globes (congratulations, Minari!) actor Gal Gadot has revealed that she and her husband Jaron Varsano are adding a third baby to their family of four. The pair are already parents to nine-year-old Alma and three-year-old Maya
Gadot has had a big year (in pandemic terms, anyway) with the release of Wonder Woman 1984, the highest-grossing film to debut in the COVID era. Last night, she appeared as a presenter at the Golden Globes in a loose-fitting short white Givenchy baby doll dress accessorized with strappy stilettos and a necklace from Tiffany & Co., her character Diana Prince’s jeweller of choice. Despite the stilettos, the form-camouflaging frock tipped off social media, where viewers immediately guessed at her condition.
Gadot, who has said that giving birth makes her feel like Wonder Woman herself, didn't keep the internet wondering for much longer. This morning she announced her pregnancy on Instagram with a sweet photo of the entire family, captioning the snap, “Here we go again.”
Fellow celebs immediately chimed in with congratulatory messages. “Congratulations mama,” wrote Jason Momoa. “Ahhhhhhhhh congratulations!! 🙌🏽,” added Hilary Swank while Kate Hudson wrote, “Yeah!!! So exciting!”
This isn’t the first time Gadot’s husband and kids have been in the spotlight. The whole family had a cameo in Wonder Woman 1984. The actor told GoodDay DC about the sequel’s Easter egg back in December. "It meant a lot and especially in that very special scene," she said. "I have two daughters, both of them appeared. My oldest one appeared with Asa, Patty [Jenkins]'s son, and then my youngest one, whom I was pregnant with during the reshoots for Wonder Woman, the first one, was there with my husband. To have them captured in the film with me, because they are a part of it, meant a lot,” she explained, adding, “and it's an amazing, amazing souvenir that we will forever cherish."
