Loving married couples are great, and loving divorced couples are even greater. Just look at exes Demi Moore and Bruce Willis – they’ve been divorced for over 20 years, but they’re still best buds and more importantly, family. Case in point: Demi posted a tribute to the incredible women in her life for #InternationalWomensDay and on that list was none other than Bruce’s wife, Emma Heming. Women uplifting women, and exes uplifting exes, is the energy we love to see in 2021!

Captioning her post with “I’m celebrating the women who inspire me,” the Ghost actress included pictures of Emma and her two children, Mabel and Evelyn Willis. She went on to praise Emma and the blended family they share.

“I #SeeHer as family who I am honored to call a friend,” Demi wrote. “Our children are sisters and yet there is no name for what our family connection is to one another. We are mothers united, sisters bonded on this crazy adventure of life.” Demi is of course referring to the three adult children she shares with Bruce; Rumer, Scout, and Tallulah.

“Emma is a beautiful mother dedicated to her family, an absolutely gorgeous woman,” the G.I. Jane star continued, “and now she can add business entrepreneur to her resume. She carved a path quietly on her own to create @cocobabaofficial, launching the first body skincare products for woman to mother themselves! We all need that!”

She finished off her incredible tribute to her ex-husband’s love with, “Her drive, determination and passion is uplifting and the woman that she is absolutely inspiring.”

It’s been no secret for years now that Bruce and Demi, who married in 1987 and divorced in 2000, have remained close friends and confidants since their split. While Demi was married to actor Ashton Kutcher, the three of them often walked the red carpet together along with the Willis children in tow. Last year, when the COVID-19 global pandemic forced everyone into isolation, Bruce and Demi famously quarantined together with their children, even wearing matching PJs like the adorable exes they are.

Demi made a surprise appearance at the 2018 Comedy Central Roast of Bruce Willis and had a whale of a time poking fun at his various blockbuster hits and flops. “I was married to Bruce for the first three Die Hard movies, which makes sense because the last two sucked.” We hope Bruce had some aloe on hand for that epic BURN.

In 2019, while appearing on The Late Late Show With James Corden for a game of “Spill Your Guts or Fill Your Guts,” the Striptease star lovingly threw her ex-hubby under the bus when she was asked, “Who is an actor who you’ve worked with who didn’t deserve to be paid more than you?”  You bet your bottom dollar she named Bruce, who co-starred with her in Mortal Thoughts. Ice cold? Yes. Accurate? Also yes.

Demi’s #IWD Instagram post also gave a loving shout-out to her friend, actress Soleil Moon-Frye, who rose to stardom in the 1980s as the lead in the TV show Punky Brewster. “I #SeeHer as a radiant being of pure loving,” Demi wrote about Soleil. “Her positivity, joy and gratitude for life no matter what is beyond inspiring. Her warmth, courage and openness turns adversity into opportunity into art. (This beautiful lens of life she holds has turned into a documentary that I hope everyone sees, Kid90 that comes out on @Hulu March 12th!!).”

She continued, "I have had the privilege to be there for the birth of all four of her children and to share in this twisting, winding journey of life we are all living. I am grateful for our friendship and our sisterhood. She is pure inspiration. She is pure love!”

Demi Moore is clearly the best friend we all need and deserve right now.
