These flowers were definitely in Formation…

A sentimental gesture goes a long way… even between two of the most famous women in music. Earlier today, Taylor Swift took to social media to share a (ahem – gorgeous) pink bouquet of flowers sent from none other than Queen Bey herself.

The flowers were accompanied by a hand-written note congratulating Swift on her recent Grammy win. ICYMI, Swift made history last weekend as the first female artist to win her third Album of the Year Grammy. Over quarantine, the "Look What You Made Me Do" singer seriously upstaged us all, bypassing bread-making entirely to record and release her latest (surprise) album, Folklore.

In her heartfelt acceptance speech, Swift sent love to her long-term boyfriend, Joe Alwyn, who – as fans might recall – actually collaborated on the album with her, co-writing "Exile" and "Betty." Swift praised Alwyn’s creative influence on her work, noting that he is the first person she plays every song she writes for. “I had the best time writing songs with you in quarantine,” she lovingly added.

Swift also thanked her fans saying, “We will never forget you did this for us. Thank you so much."

Beyoncé’s congratulatory note read, “Taylor, Congratulations on your Grammy. It was great seeing you on Sunday night. Thank you for always being so supportive. Sending love to you & your family. B."

In the following story, Swift gushed over the sweet gesture, noting that B had made her day. “Woke up to flowers from the queen of grace & greatness @beyonce and suddenly it's the best Friday EVER. Thank you B and congratulations on your epic achievement Sunday night!!,” she wrote.

Really… what could possibly top Beyoncé sending you flowers and a thoughtful note on a Friday?

Previous to her win last weekend, Swift won Album of the Year for Fearless and 1989.

Of course, Swift isn’t the only member of this mega-famous, mega-talented duo who made history this year. Winning four Grammys that evening, Beyoncé officially became the most decorated woman in Academy history. The magic number? 28 career Grammys to date. While accepting her rewards, the "Formation" singer thanked her husband, JAY-Z, and their three children, before sharing that she hopes to lift up her fans. "I wanted to uplift and encourage all of the Black kings and queens who inspire me and inspire the whole world... I can't believe this happened, it's such a magical night,” she shared.

Bey is now tied with Quincy Jones for the second-most Grammy wins, and George Solti (a famed conductor) still tops the competition with 31.

Incredible achievements all around. Congrats, ladies.
