Michael B. Jordan rented out an entire aquarium for Valentine’s Day

It sounds like things are going swimmingly in the romance department for Michael B. Jordan and Lori Harvey. So swimmingly, in fact, that Jordan rented out an entire aquarium for his love on Valentine’s Day.

That’s the kind of move you’d expect a movie star in a big-screen romantic comedy to pull off for the day of love, but Jordan executed in real life when he rented out an aquarium for a private tour. He didn’t stop there though. “My baby rented out the aquarium so we could do a private tour and see the turtles and then we walked into this,” Harvey (daughter of Steve Harvey) captioned a video that she shared to her Instagram stories.

Inside one of the tunnels Jordan upped his own game with a romantic setting that included candles and flower petals everywhere. He also had an elaborate table set up with caviar, drinks, roses and more candles. There was also a custom Valentine’s Day dinner from Nobu, which included a six-course setting of things like rock shrimp and tuna tataki. They finished it all off with dessert—caramel brownie, carrot cake, and a tea and coffee service.

Jordan also gifted his girlfriend a cute stuffed turtle (“Turtle” is his nickname for her), which Harvey also shared on her Instagram stories. The night didn’t end there though. The model then shared video of an elaborate setup in a hotel suite that Jordan had set up.

There was a two-way fireplace, gorgeous cityscape views, hundreds of flowers, and all kinds of candles everywhere. Naturally there were also rose petals strewn all over the bed, and there was also a drawn bubble bath with more flowers and candles.  

As if that couldn’t possibly be enough to show Harvey how much he cared, Jordan also gifted her the gift of stocks. Fashionable stocks, to be exact. “The best gift ever… baby bought me stocks in Hermes,” Harvey wrote alongside a heart and teary-eyed emoji in another post, which showed the official certificate.

Clearly the Black Panther star is all about the romance, because this isn’t the first time he’s showered Harvey with all the things. On her birthday in January he sent her 15 bouquets of white roses. Later he shared a fun social media post that included a video of them playing in the snow on her special day. She reciprocated the love back on his birthday last week, when she posted several snaps of them dressed up together. “I love you baby… hope today has been at least half as special as you are,” she shared on Instagram. “Thank you baby I love you too,” People’s Sexiest Man Alive wrote back in the comments.

Harvey, 24, and Jordan, 34, have been rumoured to be dating for months, but they made their relationship Instagram-official in early January with coordinated posts. Fans had been waiting for some kind of confirmation of their coupledom since last November, when they were spotted arriving at an Atlanta airport together for the U.S. Thanksgiving holiday.

If that Valentine’s Day setup proves one thing, it’s that this couple is head over heels and officially comfortable sharing their love with the public. Your move, romantic partners everywhere. Your move.
