So, Kendall, Selena and other celebs are wearing Uggs again

The Ugg boot was everywhere in the early Aughts. Some of the most covetable brands at the time partnered with them to show their support—anyone else remember the $1,000 CAD Steve Madden collab that as embellished with a ridiculous amount of rhinestones and navy zebra print? It wasn’t exactly pretty. Then, we saw its almost immediate demise.

But, 2020 was one of the weirdest years in the books. And so, it kind of makes sense that in 2021 the Ugg boot is making a comeback, even in its most micro form. This week model Kendall Jenner was snapped wearing a pair of Ugg boots in its signature hue, and so many other stars have been wearing the same shearling lined boot this winter season, too—including Selena Gomez and Fan Bingbing.

Kendall Jenner 

Kendall was in LA wearing the cropped shearling boot the Internet loves to hate. Still, her famous besties have also been spotted wearing similar pairs, so she’s not alone. Love it or hate it, the Ugg Classic Ultra Mini boots in the Chestnut hue a favourite in 2021. Would I wear it? Eeh. Kendall sure makes it look cute tho.

Jodie Turner-Smith and Joshua Jackson

Jodie and Josh met at Usher’s 40th birthday back in ‘18, and now are growing a family together. This week, the pair were pushing their daughter in her luxe stroller (it’s a limited edition collab between Cybex and Jeremy Scott that retails for $2,200 CAD) through the streets of NY and looking like a cozy unit doing so.

Julianne Hough

The whisky-hued teddy coat and sage-coloured leggings that Julianne had on this week were so very relatable. The star paired the casual 'fit with white sneakers and a cotton-print mask, obv, as she took a video call during an outing in LA.

Amanda Gorman

22-year-old poet Amanda Gorman brought much of the world to tears with her powerful reading at the Inauguration this week. Her outfit only added to her energy. The canary yellow coat and red headband are both by Prada and already sold out. It’s hard to see in this photo, but she was also wearing Nikos Koulis earrings that Oprah gifted her.

Selena Gomez 

Some stars are back on set for work, and Selena is one of them. The 28-year-old is starring in 'Only Murders in the Building' which is currently filming in NYC. To stay warm in between shooting, she’s been sporting Ugg boots and a favourite textured cream teddy coat and white sweats.

Addison Rae

Tiktok sweetheart Addison Rae stepped out in LA in a 'fit that looked completely approp for a 20-year-old during a pandemic: black button-up v-neck jersey top, hunter green sweats, and of course a pair of bright red fluffy slip-on slippers… or are they sandals? They’re probably slippers.

Fan Bingbing 

Fan Bingbing is also onboard with the shearling boots. So much so that she fully committed to the trend in a thigh-high pair. Imagine how cozy these must feel on bare legs!

Ashley Roberts

If this Ashley Robets 'fit doesn’t make you want to add a pair of black lacquered leather trousers to your wardrobe, I don’t know what will. The white accessories were a nice touch, too. 

Ella Emhoff

Kamala Harris’ stepdaughter is a textile design student at Parsons School of Design in New York, so it’s no surprise she wore this gorgeous Miu Miu houndstooth wool coat to the Inauguration this week. The embellished shoulders were perfection. 

Hilary Duff

Hilary’s coat game is strong. The pregnant star was on set in New York a long wool cigar-hued jacket and a matching cheetah-print sweatsuit. 

Sutton Foster 

Award-winning Broadway performer and TV star Sutton Foster left a venue in New York bundled up in a pair of calf-high shearling boots and a printed puffer that hit just below the hips. 

Jaime Xie

‘Bling Empire’ star Jaime Xie looked cute as a button grabbing a drink at LA staple The Butcher, The Baker, The Cappuccino Maker. Pastels are coming back big and Jaime knows it.

Olivia Palermo

Someone who has yet to join the Ugg Crew: Olivia P. Instead, the stylist popped out to run errands in Manhattan in a pair of bright yellow chunky lace-up moon boots by INUIKII. 

Jovana Louis Benoit 

Need some more lacquered leather pant inspo? Hatian fashion designer Jovana’s got it. The creative was snapped in Beverly Hills this week looking so poised and put together. She even posted this paparazzi pic to Insta with a cryptic caption about new projects she’s got on the go this year. 

Ashley Roberts

Ashley had on several head-turning 'fits this week, including this avocado green sweater dress. Everything about this was so '70s, but she made it modern with a sleek handbag and pointed boots.
