That’s a wrap! Shia LaBeouf and Margaret Qualley have reportedly called it quits. A source told People that the couple broke up on Saturday amid the abuse allegations from his ex-girlfriend, FKA Twigs.

“They’re just in different places in their lives,” a source told the outlet. Another source said that Qualley, daughter of Andie MacDowell, was aware of all the “backlash” she received for dating LaBeouf amid the lawsuit filed by FKA Twigs, accusing The Peanut Butter Falcon actor of assault, sexual battery and emotional distress.

The 26-year-old actress is said to be focusing on her acting career and “ready to get back to work.” She will be heading to Canada to begin filming a movie with Margot Robbie.

LaBeouf and Qualley were last spotted together on Monday in Studio City and were previously photographed on a hike together in Los Angeles on Boxing Day. A series of photos were also taken by the Daily Mail earlier in December, showing LaBoeuf and Qualley embracing and kissing at LAX after she landed. Oh, to be a celebrity and completely disregard COVID travelling rules. *Insert eye roll here.*

The actors appeared on screen together in October for a music video for Qualley’s sister, musician Rainey Qualley, AKA Rainsford. They played a couple in a tumultuous relationship… interesting.

Qualley, who previously dated Pete Davidson, has remained silent about the accusations against LaBeouf brought forward by FKA Twigs and stylist ex-girlfriend Karolyn Pho, who alleged she had "tumultous experiences" with the actor.

The lawsuit, filed in Los Angeles, details an alleged incident where FKA twigs, whose real name is Tahliah Debrett Barnett, was in a car with LaBeouf as he drove recklessly and threatened to intentionally crash the car until she “professed her love for him.” They were on their way back to Los Angeles after a trip to the desert where the Transformers actor allegedly woke her up in the middle of the night and choked her.

The suit also details an alleged incident where LaBeouf assaulted her outside of a gas station during a road trip. She alleges that he threw her against the car and screamed in her face when she tried to take her bags from him. She also claims that LaBeouf knowingly gave her a sexually transmitted disease.

“What I went through with Shia was the worst thing I’ve ever been through in the whole of my life,” FKA twigs told The Times. “I don’t think people would ever think that it would happen to me. But I think that’s the thing. It can happen to anybody.”

When addressing the lawsuit, LaBeouf said that he wasn't in any position to tell anyone how his behaviour made them feel. "I have no excuses for my alcoholism or aggression, only rationalizations. I have been abusive to myself and everyone around me for years," he added. "I have a history of hurting the people closest to me. I’m ashamed of that history and am sorry to those I hurt. There is nothing else I can really say.”

FKA twigs and Pho both allege that LaBeouf was excessively jealous of other men to the point where he would try to dictate rules to his girlfriends. The suit alleges they were not allowed to make eye contact with other men and they had to kiss him and touch him a certain number of times per day.

LaBeouf claims that “many of the allegations” detailed in the suit “are not true.” He said that he owed both women “the opportunity to air their statements publicly and accept accountability for those things I’ve done.” The 34-year-old actor added that he was “a sober member of a 12-step program. I am not cured of my PTSD and alcoholism, but I am committed to doing what I need to do to recover, and I will forever be sorry to the people that I may have harmed along the way.”

LaBeouf has been removed from Netflix's award consideration website and publicity materials following the recent suit. LaBeouf played a supporting role in the Netflix film Pieces of a Woman, alongside Vanessa Kirby. The film is about a Boston couple who were on the verge of parenthood until their lives changed drastically when a home birth ends in an unutterable tragedy.

Kirby portrays a young woman named Martha, who must navigate her grief over the loss of her baby while working through her unruly relationships with her husband Sean (LaBeouf) and her overbearing mother, played by Ellen Burstyn. The year following the loss is filled with grief for Martha as her mother urges her to go to trial against her midwife (Molly Parker) and the film follows the legal fallout.
