Seth Rogen unleashed four years of anger on Ted Cruz and it was epic

From the very first moment guests, politicians, performers, and media began to arrive at the Capitol building yesterday for the inauguration of 46th president Joe Biden and VP Kamala Harris, it became obvious that things had already changed in Washington. People (even Republicans) were wearing masks. The new administration made it mandatory on Federal property for the next 100 days. You love to see it.

Among the masked was Texas Senator Ted Cruz, who just two weeks after five people were killed in the riots at the Capitol, sported a face covering that had “come and take it” and a picture of a cannon on it. Apparently, it was the last straw for Seth Rogen who went off after Cruz tweeted a nonsensical argument to another Biden Inauguration Day executive action.

In addition to the mask mandate, Biden also brought the U.S. back into the Paris Climate agreement (it was a busy first day in office). Cruz objected to the move, tweeting something about how Biden was putting the preferences of the people of Paris ahead of his own citizens in Pittsburgh. The accord is simply named after the city where 197 world leaders adopted it but okay.

Having endured four years of Cruz’s embarrassing Trump boosterism, Rogen had zero time for this and replied with a succinct and snappy rejoinder, tweeting back, “F--k off you fascist.” This was only the first skirmish in what was to become a protracted war of 280 characters.

Screencapping Seth’s reply, Cruz shot back at the comedian, implying he couldn't possibly understand the plights of the American people. “Charming, civil, educated response. [Seth Rogen]” he wrote. “If you’re a rich, angry Hollywood celebrity, today’s Dems are the party for you. If you’re blue-collar, if you’re a union member, if you work in energy or manufacturing...not so much.”

Rogen responded in turn with a "Haha get f--ked fascist. Go encourage a white supremacist insurrection again you f--king clown." He followed it up with a second tweet suggesting that if a reader is "a white supremacist fascist who doesn’t find it offensive when someone calls your wife ugly," you might consider supporting Ted Cruz, referring to Donald Trump's tweets about Heidi Cruz's appearance during the Republican primaries in 2016 (inspite of which Cruz has chosen to support Trump since he won the nomination).

Seth concluded his argument with one final piece of information: "Also I’m in four unions."

To be fair, Rogen himself is a millionaire, but we also know Cruz is one as well and his partner is a bigwig at one of the world’s biggest investment banks. Additionally, the president he stood by (despite his insults) is estimated to be a multibillionaire (though those numbers are murky).

Anyway, the Twitter war ended there, we assume, so Seth could serenely return to the thing he does second-best: pottery.
