Kim Kardashian is reportedly ready to file for divorce

Things look like they may finally be over for Kim Kardashian and Kanye West. After spending months living apart and dodging rumours that their marriage is at a breaking point, several sources are now confirming that Kardashian is close to filing for divorce from her husband of six years.

Trouble in the couple’s marriage has been rumored for months after Kardashian was spotted at the remote home in mid-2020 when paparazzi snapped pictures of the make-up mogul in tears while in a car with her husband. The couple have rarely been spotted together over the past year and Kardashian was recently seen without her wedding ring. West reportedly stayed at his Wyoming ranch over the holidays instead of spending time with his family in California.

The rapper and fashion designer published several controversial tweets last year, including a bid to run for presidency. In July 2020, West also tweeted and deleted about divorcing his wife Kim, shared intimate details about their marriage and compared his mother-in-law and Kris Jenner to North Korean dictator Kim Jong-Un.

Kim expressed her concern for West's mental health at that time, addressing his bipolar disorder in an Instagram post. "As many of you know, Kanye has bipolar disorder. Anyone who has this or has a loved one in their life who does, knows how incredibly complicated and painful it is to understand," calling him a "brilliant but complicated person" whose "words sometimes do not align with his intentions."

A source close to Page Six says that while Kardashian has publicly and privately supported West and urged him to seek help for his mental health, she can no longer stand by. “She is serious about taking the bar exam and becoming a lawyer, she is serious about her prison reform campaign,” said the source. “Meanwhile Kanye is talking about running for president and saying other crazy s–t, and she’s just had enough of it.”

A second source claims that West is also ‘done’ with Kardashian and her family, saying that he “Is completely over the entire family … He wants nothing to do with them.”

People is reporting that West is aware the divorce proceedings are coming and is sad about the end of his marriage. "He's on very thin ice with her right now, and she's truly trying to decide what to do to protect the kids, but also her own sanity,” said a source close to Kardashian. “The whole thing is discouraging and difficult for her."

Multiple outlets are reporting that Kardashian has employed the services of celebrity divorce lawyer Laura Wasser, who represented Kardashian in her divorce from Kris Humphries. “They are keeping it low-key but they are done,” a source tells Page Six, adding that Kardashian and Wasser are in the process of discussing settlements between the couple and making an effort to keep the details private.

The couple have property in California and Wyoming, including a home in Calabasas, which underwent years of renovation for a $20 million upgrade care of designer Axel Vervoordt, who helped to create the minimalist and cold aesthetic.

West and Kardashian share four children, including North (7), Saint (5), Chicago (3) and Psalm (19 months).
