Four months after Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik announced the birth of their daughter, the couple have now confirmed the newborns name. On January 21, Hadid updated her social media profiles to reflect her new title. Everyone make some room in the story time circle for Khai and her mother Gigi.

Eagle eyed fans spotted Hadid’s update late on Thursday night on her Instagram account. The supermodel's bio now includes her twitter handle, her modeling agency and first and foremost, the title ‘khai’s mom.’

Malik has yet to make a similar update on his social media and the couple have not revealed any possible middle names or whether their daughter will be known as Khai Hadid-Malik or Khai Malik or Khai Hadid, but at least we finally have a first name and it is beautiful. Prepare to see a lot of baby Khais popping up in the next two years.

Fans previously speculated that Malik and Hadid had named their daughter Dorothea. Following the release of Taylor Swift’s evermore, Hadid posted a picture of her showing off her pregnant belly and captioning the image “August, waiting for our girl.” “august” is track eight on Swift’s folklore and “dorothea” is track eight on her companion album evermore, fueling the theory that Hadid went the way of Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively and let her close friend Taylor Swift announce her daughter’s name. That theory has now been debunked, but it was a good one.

This is the second bit of baby news the very private Hadid has announced this week. On Monday, Hadid responded to a fan on Twitter who asked whether the supermodel knew she was pregnant before walking in the Jaquemus fashion show in Paris in January 2020. Hadid, who walked the runway along with her sister and fellow model Bella Hadid, confirmed that she was pregnant at the time and had only found out the day before while walking at the Tom Ford fashion show. If there is a chicer place to pee on a stick, we don’t know what that is.

Hadid shared a picture of herself at the Jaquemus show this week to commemorate the anniversary of finding out she was pregnant. FYI, this is what Hadid looks like while she is nauseous. We’ve said it before and we will say it again, women are superheroes. Also, baby Khai has some really great genetics to look forward to.

In April 2020, multiple outlets began reporting that Hadid and Malik were expecting their first child together. Hadid later confirmed the news on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and said at the time she was craving bagels, so much so that her family surprised her with a bagel shaped cake to celebrate her 25^th birthday.

In August 2020, Hadid shared a handful of snaps from her dreamy maternity shoot, which took place under strict covid safety precautions. The shoot was overseen by some of Hadid’s closest friends, including photography duo Luigi and Lango, fashion director Gabriella Karefa-Johnson and makeup artist Erin Parsons.

Malik and Hadid announced the birth of baby Khai in September, with each parent sharing sweet black-and-white photos of their newborn daughter’s hand in theirs. The pair have yet to post a picture showing Khai’s face, instead opting for stroller pictures, a family photo at Halloween and a few images at Christmas showing either the back of Khai’s head or covering her up with am emoji. We are just going to go ahead and assume that little Khai is absolutely adorable..
