Emma Stone is reportedly pregnant with first child

Congratulations are in order for Emma Stone! The 32-year-old actor is reportedly pregnant with her first child. Stone and her husband, Saturday Night Live segment director Dave McCary, were reportedly wed sometime in 2020.

The Daily Mail were the first report on Stone’s pregnancy and shared a picture of the Oscar-winner cradling her stomach this past weekend in Los Angeles. Stone was spotted hiking with a female friend on December 30 and the pictures were published on January 4. Both women wore hats and kept a low profile, with each keeping a mask on throughout their workout. We knew we could count on Emma Stone to not disappoint us with her mask wearing.

People and E! News are also reporting that Stone is indeed pregnant and have confirmed the news with sources close to the Crazy, Stupid, Love star. 

The latest pictures of Stone are arriving a few months after the actor stepped away from a project that would have reunited her with La La Land director Damien Chazelle for his upcoming old Hollywood film Babylon. Stone was slated to star opposite Brad Pitt before dropping out due to scheduling conflicts (could that have been scheduling time with her new babe?). The film was originally supposed to begin production in Los Angeles before the pandemic. It now appears as though Margot Robbie will team up with her Once Upon A Time In Hollywood co-star to fill Stone’s Babylon role, which is still scheduled for a Christmas 2021 release.

In December, Deadline announced that Stone was attached to the upcoming Showtime comedy series The Curse. The dark comedy is being spearheaded by the Safdie Brothers, who delivered 2019’s heart-pounding Uncut Gems. Stone is set to star opposite Canadian comedian Nathan Fielder (Nathan For You) in The Curse, where the two will play a husband and wife who are trying for a baby while co-starring on their own HGTV show. As the name suggests, they’re also battling a curse. No word on whether Stone’s pregnancy will affect her involvement in what sounds like a show we will definitely be watching.

As for Stone and McCreary, we don’t expect a baby announcement from the notoriously private couple anytime soon. The pair are rumored to have met in 2016 when Stone hosted SNL and began dating sometime around the summer of 2017. The two were first spotted together in October that year. The couple later shared a table with Stone’s friend Taylor Swift and her boyfriend Joe Alwyn at the after party for the 2019 Golden Globes and made their debut as a couple on the red carpet at the SAG Awards that year. McCary shared a rare glimpse into their lives as a couple on December 4, 2019 when he announced their engagement news by posting a picture of the smiling pair showing off Stone’s engagement ring.

Stone and McCreary are rumoured to have married sometime in 2020. The pair were reportedly planning on a March wedding, but then, you know, everything happened. Paparazzi photos of the couple sporting matching gold bands were published last September, although neither party has made any comment on when or where their wedding took place. Between McCreary’s work on SNL and Stone’s talent as an actor, dancer and singer, we’re just going to assume that their wedding was a low-key but fun and entertaining affair.
