Celebs truly are just like us. When we wanna know what everyone thinks about the latest movie release (hello, Promising Young Woman!), or where to get our Bernie Sanders mittens tattoo (I’m doing it mom!), or what’s new today with Drake (he’s just chilling), we ask Twitter. So does Cardi B. The “WAP” rapper is known for being very frank and candid on social media, and she has a personal problem that only Twitter-crowd-sourcing can solve – persistent acne.

“I been breaking out lately and my face is extremely dry,” she tweeted on Monday. “I don’t think these products are working. I think it’s the water out here .....What are some good products for little black heads break outs and dry skin on your face?”

Okay Twitter, do your magic. Annnnnd, GO!

A flurry of suggestions for blemish-clearing products came through, only for the “Bodak Yellow” rapper to knock them down like bowling pins; like Cetaphil (which she said doesn’t clean her face properly), CeraVe (“It really don’t work for me.”), Clinique (which only cleaned her face a bit), using oils (which made her skin itch) ,and trying retinol (she said it burned and she didn’t have the time to use it for longer to see results).

Cardi also posted a close up of her cheek, drawing attention to the small red blemishes which she said were really “uncomfortable” and had been a chronic problem for three months.

The “Money” rapper was also insistent that it wasn’t her makeup or a change in her skincare routine that was causing the painful breakouts. “It gotta be the water, the mask or the air out here cause like wtff,” she insisted, referring to the way water is treated in Los Angeles (Cardi is originally from New York City) and the pollution levels in the air.

“Unless you start breaking out different at 28,” she added.

Honestly, like why were we told pimples were something we’d only have to deal with in puberty? Why are we still dealing with this nonsense 20 years later? Why is bad skin the bane of everyone’s existence?!

As far as Cardi was concerned, she would prefer to get to the heart of problem by going, "to a good dermatologist that do blood testing and everything. Get to the root of the problem but I don't know any." She also insisted that she couldn’t find any Black estheticians in Los Angeles. "I know some in NY but I don't think I'm going home anytime soon."

She seemed excited to buy some of The Ordinary’s products online and try them out, and even asked Beverly Hills esthetician Nai if she would come pop her blackheads, but in the end, it was fellow singer Kehlani who came in with the blemish bullseye: Sean Garrette, a New York-based esthetician.

That was what put the cork on this saga, with Cardi tweeting, "Ok @Kehlani recommended me somebody for my face ...Imma give ya a update in 2 weeks .....I'm off this for a while ...LOVE YA."

Another mystery solved, another happy customer.

Cardi has had an interesting relationship with her Twitter following for a long time now. Last October, she deleted her Twitter account with over 15 million followers due to a backlash she received for rescinding her petition to divorce her husband Offset. “A whole bunch of 15-year-olds telling me how to live my life like I’m mother f**king Ariana Grande or something. Like I came from Disney or something,” she said in her Instagram Stories “I’m so tired because of ya, I’ve got to continuously explain myself.”

Also, as she was asking for skincare help, some users were trying to draw her into a conversation about her ethnicity and race, which she was not having. So she made sure everyone knew she isn’t here to fan the flames of their drama. This the Cardi we know and love. Smash that follow button.
