I pray for Azealia Banks. She’s never been given the same grace and that can become exhausting for anyone.

Just saw why Azealia Banks is trending and I'm praying someone close to her gets her some help before she harms herself. Black women are afforded little to no grace when dealing with mental health challenges and she certainly deserves our support. ???? https://t.co/zOjKPH4qZJ

Y’all don’t wanna give ppl their flowers till u by their gravesite & that’s the problem. Y’all ignore Azealia Banks every day. Talk about how problematic she is. Now the aftermath of years of being treated poorly and unappreciated is showing its head and y’all wanna fake care. ??

After Banks’ clips went viral she shared a series of posts in which she revealed she is scared that Apple Music’s global creative director Larry Jackson’s brother is stalking her, and calling out those she believes to have fake concern. She also accused the media of only paying attention to her when she was down.I try not to be bitter about the Azealia Banks thing but people really threw her away but will give their precious whites, their aspirational light skins, and the awful abusive men in the industry they worship chance after chance and make excuses for them but this lady gets dust

In another post she added, “When I’m down, that’s because I’m down. I’m down. Support me when I’m up. You want to have all these conversations about Black women’s mental health? Support me when I’m up… when I’m feeling good… when I’ve got a smile on my face,” she said. “Don’t just give me support when I’m crying and down in the dumps and y’all ridiculed me and made fun of me all year and made me the laughing stock and all that shit. Don’t support me when I’m down ‘cause that’s where y’all put me.”[video_embed id='2011133']BEFORE YOU GO: How to navigate the emotional challenges of a reopening world[/video_embed]
